RCSI’s Fellows and Members Office are excited to invite all medical students, surgical trainees, interns, NCHDs and junior and foundation doctors from around the world to join us on Wednesday, 20 April at 2pm Irish Time (4pm Bahrain) for our ‘So you want to be a surgeon?’ event hosted by Professor Kevin Barry, Director of the National Surgical Training Programmes, RCSI.
You will hear from medical students, surgical trainees and the surgeons who trained them as they talk to me about why they chose to pursue a career in surgery, the hurdles and triumphs of their journey so far, advice they would give their younger selves and how they developed a competitive portfolio.
A panel of surgical trainees and surgeons will be in conversation with Prof. Kevin Barry, Director of the National Surgical Training Programmes, RCSI as they discuss the surgical pathway.
