As set out in the statement released by The Intercollegiate Committee for Basic Surgical Examinations (ICBSE), the September 2020 diet of Intercollegiate MRCS Part A diet will be delivered remotely as an online assessment. Further details regarding this will be confirmed directly to candidates in due course.

With the safety of our candidates, examiners and staff in mind, we are working in conjunction with other Surgical Royal Colleges, to identify methods to facilitate the safe delivery of examinations whilst adhering to Government guidance in relation to COVID-19.

• In relation to the RCSI exams in dentistry, candidates are asked to refer to the Faculty of Dentistry website for the most up-to-date information.
• Information relating to intercollegiate FRCS exams can be found at the JCIE or JSCFE websites.

Refunds or transfer to next available exam sitting

All candidates have been contacted directly by a member of our team and will be offered a full refund of fees paid or a transfer to the next available examination sitting. If you have not been contacted, please get in touch by e-mail.

What if the next exam date falls outside the permitted time to complete my exam?

We will automatically take into account any effect this may have on time limitations to complete the exam. Affected candidates will not be disadvantaged by this delay in undertaking their exam.
